Dip in Earnings Reported by Dental Health Plan

Share

California Dental Health Plan of Tustin said earnings for its fiscal 1987 dipped 2.5% to $249,081 from $255,377 for the previous fiscal year. Revenue for the 12 months ended March 31 rose 23%, however, to $6.6 million from $5.3 million a year earlier.

The company attributed the higher revenues largely to the introduction of two new dental plan programs and blamed the costs of an “aggressive expansion program” for the earnings drop.

A spokesman said the privately held company normally does not release its quarterly figures. However, he did comment: “I can’t say we had a good fourth quarter.”
