Carter Hawley Hale Stores said George L. Daugherty, 52, was promoted to the new post of vice president-production management and quality assurance at the retailer’s market services division in New York. Previously, he was a divisional vice president for merchandising, men’s furnishings, clothing and outerwear. He had held that position since 1985, when he joined CHH from Federated Merchandising Services, a unit of Federated Department Stores.
