A former Moscow embassy guard who was questioned repeatedly by the Marine Corps in connection with an espionage scandal involving two other Marines was charged with 11 counts of false statements and perjury. The Marines charged Cpl. Robert J. Williams, 22, of the Bronx, N.Y., with nine counts of making false statements and two counts of perjury stemming from the manner in which he repeatedly changed his statements involving the alleged activities of Sgt. Clayton J. Lonetree and Cpl. Arnold Bracy. Lt. Col. John Shotwell, a spokesman for the corps, said Williams has never been suspected of espionage himself.
