Leonard Bernstein will conduct the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra in two fund-raising performances of Schubert and Mahler symphonies for the Dutch AIDS Foundation this week. Bernstein initiated the benefit concerts, which organizers estimate will take in $200,000 to fund Dutch AIDS research programs and a new AIDS clinic in Amsterdam. Tickets will cost the Dutch equivalent of $48.
