The Australian freight company TNT Transport said it plans to buy up to 72 BA-146s. The agreement is for the freight version of the four-engine jet, which already is being used by a number of U.S. airlines. British Aerospace has so far sold 91 of the super-quiet aircraft, designed to operate from inner-city commuter airfields where noise is a factor.
