The pilots who said they inadvertently shut down the engines of an airborne Delta Boeing 767 and told 195 passengers to put on life jackets and “get ready to crash” were relieved of flight duties until an investigation is complete, authorities said. The plane dropped to 600 feet above the Pacific Ocean just after takeoff from Los Angeles before the engines were restarted, and Flight 810 to Cincinnati resumed without further incident.
