Nunn (24-0) Scores 2nd-Round Knockout
Unbeaten middleweight Michael Nunn (24-0, 16 knockouts) disposed of Jose Duarte with a pair of devastating left hooks at 1:45 of the second round of their scheduled 10-round bout at the Country Club in Reseda Thursday night.
It was the third and final trip to the canvas for Duarte (31-15-1, 30 knockouts), Nunn, of North Hollywood, had previously knocked Duarte down late in the first round and again earlier in the second round.
Nunn weighed 160 pounds, and Duarte, the former Mexican middleweight champion, weighed 159.
