Four people who entered the Warfield Maryland National Guard Air Base in Essex and sat on the runway were charged with trespassing, Baltimore County police Lt. John Schramm said. Berrigan and the others, who sat in front of the main gates, were charged with failure to obey a lawful order.
Maj. Howard S. Freedlander, National Guard spokesman, said that 70 troops of the 135th Tactical Airlift Group of the Maryland Air National Guard left Saturday for Howard Air Force Base in Panama.
