CARACAS, Venezuela —
Venezuelans are the biggest drinkers in Latin America, consuming an average of more than 70 quarts of alcohol per person, Health Ministry official Victor De Carli said. He estimated there are 500,000 alcoholics among Venezuela’s 14.5 million people.
