PerfectData Reports Loss of $330,000 in Its 4th Quarter

Share

PerfectData reported a $331,000 loss for its fiscal fourth quarter, against a year-earlier loss of $266,000.

The Chatsworth-based maker of computer maintenance equipment also posted a $946,000 loss for the full year ended March 31, but that was considerably smaller than its $4.53 million loss in fiscal 1986.

PerfectData attributed the narrower loss for the full year to cost-cutting and the elimination of unprofitable product lines.

Fourth-quarter revenue fell from $1.14 million to $943,000, and annual revenue declined from $5.52 million to $4.11 million.

PerfectData also said it now has about $4.02 million in tax-loss credits that can be used, once it is profitable, to reduce its tax liability.
