Wells Fargo may move its headquarters someday.

Carl E. Reichardt, chairman and chief executive of the San Francisco-based bank, told a trade publication that the bank wants to expand its 8% share of Southern California’s banking market through acquisitions and may eventually move its corporate headquarters to the Southland. “I don’t think we would do that in the short term.” But, he added: “Over the longer term, I think the company has to look at the possibility. I could not put a time frame on it. He added that Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego might be candidates as sites for Wells Fargo’s headquarters. However, a Wells Fargo spokeswoman played down the possibility of a move.
