REGGAE AWARDS SET FOR JULY 26
Black Uhuru and Mutabaruka will perform July 26 at the Olympic Velodrome, Cal State Dominguez Hills, as part of Reggae Times magazine’s second annual awards show.
Both performers are nominees in the international category, along with Bunny Wailer, Jimmy Cliff, Dennis Brown, Peter Tosh and Steel Pulse. Nominees in the Los Angeles division are Bamiki Bandula, Dell & the Sensations, Matuzalem, Shakaman, Shakeena, Swelele and Jahbandis. Winners are determined by a vote of the Los Angeles-based magazine’s readers.
Don Carlos, Garth Dennis, Swelele and Boom Shaka will also perform at the event, which begins at noon.
