Lawndale : Rules Set for Hotels, Motels

New motels and hotels built in the city will have to be affiliated with a franchise or chain and can be built only after a study has been completed to determine the market feasibility and impact on existing facilities.
Those requirements are part of new development standards adopted by the City Council last week.
Other requirements include a minimum lot size of 18,000 square feet, one parking space for each unit without kitchen facilities, two parking spaces for each unit with kitchen facilities and one parking space for every two employees.
