Rene Arredondo of Mexico, fighting aggressively from the opening bell, stopped champion Tsuyoshi Hamada in Japan in the sixth round and regained the World Boxing Council’s junior-welterweight crown. It was their first meeting since last year when Hamada, 26, knocked out Arredondo in the first round and won the title.
