Glendale Suffers Power Outage
The city of Glendale was left without power today when a circuit breaker exploded at the city’s main power plant, officials said.
The 39,000-volt safety device shorted out about 10:45 a.m. in the huge plant at San Fernando Road and Grange Street, a fire dispatcher said. The power outage affected homes, businesses and street signals, officials said.
