Tele-Communications Inc., the nation’s largest cable television company, announced Tuesday that it is holding off on its decision to drop PTL programming. Bob Thompson, TCI vice president of government affairs, said the decision follows a July 16 bankruptcy court order prohibiting a Miami cable-TV network from canceling PTL telecasts. On June 3, TCI said it planned to drop PTL because of the heavy demand for air time from various religious groups.
