John Denver has unveiled a plan to help besieged family farmers--give them 1% of the Pentagon’s annual budget, or about $3 billion. Denver suggested investing half of the funds in farmers and the other half in “ending hunger around the world.” He later suggested taking 1% of the profits of defense contractors and oil companies for the same purpose.
