The Pentagon on Friday identified the man killed Thursday in the crash of a Navy helicopter in the Persian Gulf as Lt. (j.g.) James F. Lazevnick, 25, of Waldorf, Md., the co-pilot.

Three men were still missing, the Pentagon said. They were identified as Lt. William E. Ramsburg, 31, of Scotland, S.D., the pilot; Radioman 2nd Class Albert B. Duparl, of Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, a passenger, and Air Force Lt. Col. Horace S. Gentle, 44, of Moresville, N.C., a passenger.

One the five survivors of the crash was a Californian, Lt. Cmdr. Walter F. Fitzpatrick III, 35, of Monterey, a communications officer with the Mideast Task Force. He will probably be released from the hospital over the weekend, the Pentagon said.
