Lorimar Productions has given Valerie Harper one week to return to the set of her NBC show “Valerie” or the series will be recast and lawsuits involving “hundreds of millions” of dollars will be generated, according to Barbara Brogliatti of Lorimar Productions. Brogliatti told a gathering of television critics in Redondo Beach on Sunday that Lorimar is suing Harper for damages and to prevent her from appearing on television for the remaining four years in her six-year contract. Harper told the producers last month that she wanted to renegotiate for more money and has not shown up for work since then. She and her husband, executive producer Tony Cacciotti, are co-owners of the series and have been unavailable for comment.
