Veteran safety Dwight Hicks, a four-time Pro Bowl selection and a starter on the two San Francisco 49er squads that won the Super Bowl, was cut by the Indianapolis Colts. Hicks, entering his ninth year in the NFL, was a free agent starting his second season with the Colts.
