Brown Wins Playoff in Women’s Golf
Felicia Brown of Lake San Marcos Country Club sank a three-foot par putt on the third hole of sudden death Tuesday to win the 12th annual North San Diego County women’s golf tournament at the Escondido Country Club.
Brown, 21, was tied at 146 with Daneen De Vinna (San Luis Rey Downs) and Jacques Vigil (Rancho Bernardo Inn Course). The three parred the first playoff hole, the 459-yard, par-5 first hole.
Vigil was eliminated after she bogeyed the second hole. Brown and De Vinna made par. On the third hole, De Vinna bogeyed after missing an eight-foot par putt.
