Getting Dumbo to fly via animation was no problem. But Walt Disney officials in Florida were having all sorts of problems this week getting a real elephant transported to the Magic Kingdom East for a publicity picture. Unlike the animated Dumbo, a real elephant needs a special truck to get around. “All the elephant trucks are up north, where the circuses are still performing,” Disney spokesman Tom Brinkmoeller said. The park plans to introduce outdoor circus acts this fall and wants to pair Mickey Mouse and an elephant for publicity photos.
