Clorox’s earnings rose 10% to $104.9 million for the year ended June 30. The Oakland firm said net sales increased 3% to $1.13 billion for the same period. Profit for the April-June quarter was up 8% to $31.6 million, compared to the fourth quarter a year ago. The firm credited the figures to record shipments of major grocery store brands, including Clorox liquid bleach, Clorox 2 dry all-fabric bleach, Liquid-Plumr drain opener and the line of Hidden Valley Ranch bottled salad dressing, strong growth in food service products and gains in international operations.
