Smith Arranges Financing for Produce Market

George Smith Financial Services has arranged $21 million in permanent financing for the new downtown Los Angeles Wholesale Produce Market, developed by a general partnership of Birtcher Pacific and PM Associates.

The first leasehold mortgage financing for the 28.4-acre project completed last fall on the north side of Olympic Boulevard between Central Avenue and Alameda Street was provided by Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Co. and Transamerica Life Insurance and Annuity Co.
