Behind Closed Doors
What a cheerful street! The Palestinian immigrants lock their children away from America culture. A paralyzed man lives a depressing existence. A miserable couple finally divorces. A husband leaves his wife. A teen-age boy destroys neighborhood property. A girl is attacked by a dog, but it’s “worth it” because the neighbors expressed concern. And, my favorite, the neighborhood racist can hardly wait to move away from the immigrants who came to this country a bit later than his family did.
