Israeli Copters Raid S. Lebanon
Israeli helicopter gunships raided a Shia Muslim village in south Lebanon today, killing at least one person and wounding two others, a Beirut radio station said.
The Muslem Voice of the Nation quoted reporters in south Lebanon as saying three U.S.-made Cobra helicopters were used in the raid on the village of Qaaqaaiyet el Jisr, about nine miles from the Israeli border. The reported Israeli raid, the 21st into Lebanon this year, followed Katyusha rocket attacks into northern Israel and its security zone in south Lebanon on Sunday and today.
