Montebello : 2 Challenge 2 Incumbents
Montebello Councilmen Art Payan and William M. Molinari will face two challengers in their bid for reelection to their at-large council seats in the Nov. 3 election, a city spokesman said.
Kathy Salazar, businesswoman and registered nurse, and Art Rangel, a city planner, are the two challengers. Payan, a retired federal probation officer, was first elected in March, 1978. Molinari, a businessman, was elected in April, 1982.
In races for other city offices, City Clerk Andrew T. Lambo is seeking reelection against Ted C. Valdez, a businessman, and Sixto Navarrete Jr., a loan service specialist. City Treasurer Thomas C. Wong is seeking reelection against Nick A. Valdez, a businessman, and Phillip M. Ramos, also a businessman.
