A Compton man was sentenced to three consecutive life terms in state prison, plus 100 years, for kidnaping three women, raping two of them and attempting to abduct two others, prosecutors said. Bennie Joe Ford, 27, was sentenced by Long Beach Superior Court Judge Eugene Long. Ford was convicted last month of abducting or attempting to abduct a total of five women during a two-week period last September at a Lynwood shopping center, a Long Beach bank and a Long Beach intersection.
