Rock ‘n’ roller Jerry Lee Lewis underwent surgery in Baton Rouge, La., earlier this week for removal of a cyst from his hip and said afterward, “It turned out to be nothing but a bump.” After the minor surgery at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Lewis said: “It was bugging me. Every time I turned over, it started hurting.” Lewis was in stable condition and in “good spirits” after the surgery, said hospital spokesman Wes Devillier. The piano-pounding singer has been in Baton Rouge the last few weeks visiting his cousin, televangelist Jimmy Swaggart.
