Steve Howe Doesn’t Need Any More Critics
Steve Howe’s return to professional baseball, and making a living for himself and his family, brought much sorrow to this less than perfect L.A. Times reader. Sorrow because I knew it wouldn’t be long before Mike Downey would push himself away from mom’s apple pie and a write a column condemning Howe. Would Downey be happy if the poor guy, who admittedly has a hell of a lot of problems, just put a gun to his head?
Let Mike Downey worry about the box scores, and Steve Howe, me and a few dozen other less than perfect people worry about dealing with real life.
