Is there no way that our local network affiliates can check with each other regarding jamming similar-interest programs in the same time slot? Sunday mornings have been particularly thoughtless, when, during the past year, really excellent current affairs programs about our nation are sometimes lumped into the same half hour.

For example, “Meet the Press,” “Face the Nation,” “The McLaughlin Group,” “Newsmakers” and “News Conference” are scattered about through the Sunday morning hours, and sometimes on Sunday afternoons, but most often two or three will be plopped into the same time slot. These are marvelously interesting and most informative programs in which we we can get to know more facts about people and issues than dull TV or the press feeds us.
