Henry Grunwald has resigned as editor-in-chief of Time Inc. nearly five months earlier than expected, the company announced. Grunwald had been scheduled to step down at the end of the year. Time said he resigned earlier “in order to prepare for post-retirement activities.” The Washington Post and the New York Times reported that Grunwald would be named ambassador to Austria.
