From Reuters
JERUSALEM —
A witness who tried to kill herself after retracting defense testimony at the trial of alleged Nazi war criminal John Demjanjuk left to return to the United States on Saturday.
Swedish-born psychologist Anita Pritchard, from Houston, was hospitalized Wednesday after taking an overdose of aspirin and slashing a wrist.
Demjanjuk is accused of being a sadistic guard, nicknamed “Ivan the Terrible,” who killed hundreds of thousands of Jews at the Treblinka death camp.
