A Houston judge has erased the drug offense record of Terry Rouse, who was arrested on camera during a national broadcast of Geraldo Rivera’s “American Vice: The Doping of a Nation” last Dec. 2. Rouse subsequently sued Rivera, Harris County law officials and Tribune Entertainment, the program’s syndicator. While Rouse’s suit was in court, she was arrested again Jan. 22 on two felony charges and one misdemeanor charge of delivery of marijuana. She pleaded no contest to reduced charges Monday, and District Judge Norman Lanford deferred a finding of guilt, gave Rouse credit for seven months in jail and ended her one-year probation immediately. Rouse dropped the suit against Rivera in March, but her lawyers said the civil suit will be refiled with additional allegations and claims for more damages.
