Former Philippine President Ferdinand E. Marcos and his wife, Imelda, and the entourage that accompanied them to Hawaii have been given permission to remain in the United States for another year, the Immigration and Naturalization Service said. Marcos, who recently was forbidden to leave the island of Oahu, said he is grateful for his continued welcome in the United States. Marcos arrived in Honolulu in February, 1986, after being ousted in a civilian-backed military coup.
