Westminster : Pair of Gunmen Take $4,900 From Mall Store
A gunman forced employees to lie on the floor Wednesday night at a Best Products store while another gunman forced a manager to empty the cashier’s safe of almost $5,000, police said.
The robbers, both brandishing automatic pistols, escaped on foot with the money. No customers witnessed the incident, Lt. Philip Martinez said.
The robbers entered the assistant manager’s office at 510 Westminster Mall at 5:10 p.m. and ordered him to follow them to the employee lunchroom, Martinez said. Sixteen employees in the lunchroom were ordered to the floor while the manager opened a safe in the cashier’s office. The men fled with $4,900, Martinez said.
No one was injured, and police have no suspects, Martinez said.
