BEIJING —
A part-time employee in a fireworks factory who set off a homemade bomb last month in central Beijing has been executed, the official China News Service reported Saturday.
The domestic agency said Deng Qilin, 24, was executed Wednesday, the same day that a court passed his death sentence.
The bomb damaged a sculpture and a building in Tian An Men Square at midnight on July 17. Deng was arrested by police and residents as he tried to escape after the explosion.
