Continental Airlines will begin daily transcontinental nonstop service from three California cities--San Jose, Ontario and San Diego--to its hub at Newark, N.J., on Oct. 15, with MaxSaver fares $147 one way. Continental also will start twice-daily, nonstop service between San Jose and Houston on Sept. 9, along with four additional daily flights between Los Angeles and San Jose. MaxSaver fares between Houston and San Jose will be $122 one way.
