Kevin Dineen scored a goal and set up another Sunday night as Team Canada defeated Finland, 4-1, in the Canada Cup.

Dineen, of the Hartford Whalers, set up Dale Hawerchuk’s goal at 3:12 of the opening period. Hawerchuk, of the Winnipeg Jets, took a pass from Dineen and beat Finnish goaltender Kari Takko with a low wrist shot from the right circle one second after a penalty to Petri Skriko expired.

Canada made it 2-0 at 4:50 when Rick Tocchet of the Phiadelphia Flyers was credited with a goal when a Finnish defenseman accidentally batted the puck out of the air and behind Takko.
