It may or may not be logical, but Mr. Spock’s closest earthly associate, Leonard Nimoy, says the Vulcan may make a guest appearance in the syndicated television series “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” Nimoy told about 1,000 fans at a Star Trek convention in Washington on Sunday that if Spock were to make an appearance in the new Paramount TV series, scheduled to begin in early October, it would have to be as flashbacks in the form of records called up in the computer, because “Star Trek: The Next Generation” is set 78 years after the end of the original series’ “five-year mission.”
