Three of the local football teams are in action on the tube this weekend.

On cable TV, viewers will find the UCLA vs. Nebraska game at 2 p.m. today on ESPN (with a taped replay at 11:30 p.m.). It also will air at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on Prime Ticket.

As for the pros, Sunday will bring the Rams vs. Houston Oilers at 10 a.m. (2)(8), with the Raiders vs. Green Bay Packers at 1 p.m. (4)(36)(39).

Today’s other college football contests find Notre Dame vs. Michigan at 12:30 p.m. (7)(3)(10)(42), and Alabama vs. Penn State at 5 p.m. (2)(8).

Following the Alabama-Penn State game, KCBS-TV Channel 2 will offer a string of sports-oriented programs: “Bruins-Trojans: Class of ‘87” at 8:30 p.m., “The John Robinson Show,” hosted by Jim Lampley at 9 p.m., “1986 Los Angeles Rams: Armed and Dangerous” at 9:30, and “The Victor Awards” honoring the year’s top athletes at 10 p.m..

With baseball’s National League East race tightening, NBC will carry the St. Louis Cardinals-New York Mets clash at Shea Stadium today at 11:15 a.m. (4)(39).

On Sunday, the Dodgers and Atlanta Braves complete a series in Georgia starting at 11:05 a.m. on Channel 11 and WTBS.

In tennis, the U.S. Open wraps up with the women’s finals and men’s semifinals today (8 a.m.-4 p.m.) and the men’s finals Sunday (1-4 p.m.) on (2)(8).
