Rosary, Funeral Mass Slated for Elvira Roberti, Senator’s Mother
Rosary for Elvira Roberti, the mother of state Senate President Pro Tem David Roberti (D-Los Angeles) and a long-time activist who served 20 years on the Democratic County Central Committee, will be held at 7 p.m. today at Mother of Good Counsel Church in the Los Feliz area.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Mrs. Roberti, who was 77, died on Sunday. She belonged to numerous charitable organizations, including the Catholic Daughters of America and the Italian Catholic Federation.
She leaves her husband, Emil; sons David and Mario, as well as four sisters, two brothers and three grandchildren.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Vincent Meals on Wheels program.
