UC San Diego Gains Water Polo Victory

The 11th-ranked UC San Diego men’s water polo team defeated No. 9 UC Santa Barbara, 7-6, Thursday at UCSD.

Santa Barbara led, 2-0, but UCSD came back to take a 7-5 lead in the second half. Santa Barbara scored with a little over a minute to play but could not score on its final possession.

Larry Sanders had four goals and Greg Wade two for UCSD (3-3). Santa Barbara is 3-1.
