La Habra : Commercial Center Plans Are Announced
City officials and a private developer unveiled plans Wednesday for a 17-acre commercial center on Beach Boulevard near Imperial Highway.
The project, proposed by Chevron Land and Development Co. of Irvine, would be the first cooperative development with La Mirada. About a third of the 193,000 square feet of the project are in La Mirada.
The project is expected to be submitted to the La Habra Planning Commission within two weeks, city planner Kathy Kawamura said.
If approved, the center would be set for completion in the spring of 1989. Construction costs are estimated at $17 million.
