Vice President George Bush and Senate Republican leader Bob Dole (R-Kan.) have taken wide leads over their rivals for the Republican presidential nomination, says a Washington Post-ABC News poll issued Sunday.

The nationwide poll showed Bush as the front-runner among Republican-inclined voters with 46%, whereas 32% preferred Dole.

Trailing far behind were Rep. Jack Kemp of New York and television evangelist Pat Robertson, each with 6%, former Secretary of State Alexander M. Haig Jr. with 3% and former Delaware Gov. Pierre S. (Pete) du Pont IV with 1%.
