I am disgusted by the snobbish moral superiority shown by the liberal letter writers on your pages. I carefully read each letter and yet I am unable to find any expression of thought beyond personal attacks on their opponents and high-minded moralizing. I am tired of waiting to read reasoned arguments for their beliefs. There is one simple reason for their failure to provide them: There aren’t any.

The only reason for the ascendancy of their ideas is their ability to shout down their more polite, logically oriented opponents. “Compassion,” “peace,” “justice” and “fairness” are wonderful words but have virtually nothing to do with the ideas and policies they are used to promote. These people are in for a rude surprise when conservatives get tired of being personally characterized as evil and start to fight back.
