Four Justices to Attend Constitution Ceremony
PHILADELPHIA — Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist and three Supreme Court colleagues will take part today in ceremonies and discussions focusing on the nation’s highest tribunal as part of the Constitution’s bicentennial.
Joining Rehnquist at Old City Hall, where the Supreme Court met from 1791 to 1800, will be Justices William J. Brennan Jr., Sandra Day O’Connor and Byron R. White.
The ceremonies and discussions will focus on the court’s impact on the U.S. legal system, and are part of the yearlong celebration of the Constitution’s 200th anniversary.
