New Pentagon Spokesman

WASHINGTON —
President Reagan on Friday named Fred Hoffman as chief spokesman for the Pentagon, replacing Robert Sims, who resigned. Hoffman, 64, has been principal deputy spokesman for the Defense Department since 1984.
