The latest round in Valerie Harper’s dispute with Lorimar Productions resulted in a non-decision Monday. A date in Los Angeles County Superior Court produced a heated exchange between the lawyers but ended with Judge Harry T. Shafer continuing the hearing until Thursday. At issue is whether Lorimar, after parting company with Harper, may continue to use the name Valerie in the title of its NBC series “Valerie’s Family.” Harper appeared in court with her husband Tony Cacciotti, who was supervising producer of the show. Harper said she could not comment on the case because “it is a matter under legal consideration.”
