Newport Software Firm Bought by GE Credit Unit
GE Credit Corp.’s Auto Financial Services Operations West Region office in Anaheim has acquired the assets of DAS 2001 Inc., a Newport Beach specialty software firm. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Auto Financial said it will use the acquisition to establish a new company, Dealer Systems Business, based in Irvine, to develop and market software for automobile dealers and independent leasing companies. Tom Raskin, manager of marketing for Auto Financial, has been named general manager of Dealer Systems Business.
